Research into Swing music has lead me into late 20's early 30's bands.
A pleasant discovery was England's Savoy Hotel Orpheans.
As others have noted, information about them on the Net is sparse, but in a nutshell there were the hotel band for the Savoy Hotel in London. Their best recordings fall between roughly 1926-42.

Turn it up and enjoy. These are digital restorations and have some bass oommph lacking in recordings of this period.
