The crap from Devimco and the City of Montreal continues over Griffintown.
They just don't get what a bad idea it is to turn a project of this size over to one developer, one who clearly has the esthetics of amateur suburbanites.
Developers of the proposed Griffintown project announced yesterday they will invest an additional $40 million to green up their project and make it more family friendly.
Devimco Inc. co-president Serge Goulet said the company is making the changes in response to public pressure and in hopes Montreal city council will approve the project as early as Monday's council meeting.
"We have listened to the people of the Southwest (borough) and we've accepted the challenges the city of Montreal demanded that we meet," Goulet said. "Our new project will be of an international scope and Montrealers will be proud of it."
Goulet said he hopes to begin construction in the summer of 2009, and to complete the project over about eight years.
So nothing has changed, they listened to no one.
