China is always doing the fake outrage...they did it here in Canada when our PM had the nerve to meet with the Dalai Lama (Read that here).
The Chinese Foreign Ministry demanded Tuesday that CNN's Jack Cafferty apologize for remarks he made last week, in which he called the Chinese "goons and thugs" and said products manufactured in China are "junk."
"Cafferty used the microphone in his hands to slander China and the Chinese people (and) seriously violated professional ethics of journalism and human conscience," Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said Tuesday, according to China's state-run Xinhua news agency.
She said Cafferty's remarks "reflected his arrogance, ignorance and hostility towards the Chinese people, ignited indignation of Chinese (at) home and abroad and will be condemned by those who safeguard justice around the world."
"those who safeguard justice around the world" LOLOLOLOLOL my sense of humour is outraged China! I demand an apology.

we never need any apology, because its not important.we just want we can grow better, we can enjoy our happy days, as for westerns, they can do everything they like,or they can be the lord of the world in their mind. And we are the lord of our country!
Could you kindly define what is a "fake outrage"? I personally find Cafferty's comment offense. It's ridiculous how CNN said the comment was made towards the Chinese government instead of the Chinese ppl. There was not once he used the words "Chinese government." He said "the Chinese." As a Chinese myself, I don't see how that's directly at the Chinese government instead of at the Chinese ppl in general. But most importantly, isn't the whole idea behind is that we get to express our feelings and opinions? So we, the Chinese, including our government, find Cafferty's comment offense. Therefore, I believe it is well within our right to express such feelings.
Jack Cafferty is obviously a racist. He meant Chinese, not Chinese Government. CNN is losing its class by covering this up.
Chinese Government does not manufacture products, Chinese do. Cafferty should lose his job. Even if he criticised other government and U.S. government, he never used "goon or thugs". His comment is beneath contempt. He is lacking human decency.
Lead tainted toys and bad pet food are only a small portion of Chinese import. To larger degree the lead painted toys were made to the specs by U.S. importers. Many factories producing these toys are owned by U.S. company!
Chinese also made/assembled Wii game consoles, iphone, essentially all toys accompanying McDonald's happy meals. Without Chinese manufacturing, Americans would have to pay much more! Many consumer good advancement would not be possible.
Cafferty should be fired or be sent to Beijing for a two year assignment so he can learn how to speak human language.
The people who attack China or Chinese for product made in China should lighten up. No one forced the product on you! You are free to buy or not to buy. Don't be a baby! If you ate too much hamburgers from McDonald and became fat, you don't go and attach McDonald. If your friend got gunned down by someone, you don't attack Smith and Wesson for making the gun!
Cafferty's remarks just let us know how a CIVILIZED person is defined by the so-called human rights country and so-called professional media. Sarcastic!!!
"so-called human rights country and so-called professional media"
The U.S.A. of today is lacking in those things as well.
"The U.S.A. of today is lacking in those things as well."
Yes, the human rights are always the CONCERNS on other countries, never themselves.
"It should be noted that over many years, Jack Cafferty has expressed critical comments on many governments, including the U.S. government and its leaders."
In this case, does it mean the killer can be forgiven just because he used to kill other persons as well? Ridiculous...

Cafferty is not the U.S. government, but one man who is free to speak his mind rightly or wrongly.
so China and Chinese ppl deserve an apology since he says wrong. and CNN and the U.S government should stand out for a repsonsible clarification.
"so China and Chinese ppl deserve an apology since he says wrong."
If what he says is wrong..which is the whole debate isn't it?
"and CNN and the U.S government should stand out for a repsonsible clarification."
CNN perhaps, the U.S. government has nothing to do with this. Free country, etc.
