Next time, shorter churches



Today, it was a visit to St. Paul's...

Even God needs money, and it was £10 to get in.

Oh look, you can go up to the top of the dome. Up the stairway from hell, to the whispering gallery (because at this point you are too winded to actually attempt speech). The very brave could continue up to an even higher level at the top, but I just asked politely where the down stairs were...

Just south of St. Paul's is a tiny street that dates back to Roman times, with a name it has apparently had since then, Knightrider.

Today it has a pub and a Japanese restaurant...

Also today was the National Gallery (this was free. I guess God has higher overhead). Nothing much to see. Just Vermeer, Van Eyck, Holbien, da Vinci, Rembrandt, van Gogh

...and Titian.



I sat in front of this painting for 15 minutes and wept.
