Harper and Co. may release some Afghan detainee documents...after the election, how convenient

Given the thug like tone of the electorate these days*, this will make not a speck of difference. Canada has already decided this group of war mongering neanderthals are just fine as a government...

In fact among some in this circle, mistreatment of brown people will positively guarantee your invitation to all the right parties.

The Conservative government could disclose reams of declassified records Wednesday about the treatment of Afghan detainees.

Alleged abuse of prisoners — and what the federal government may have known about it — has dogged the Conservatives for years.

The government's initial refusal to disclose thousands of pages of Foreign Affairs and Defence Department reports prompted a parliamentary crisis in December 2009.

It was resolved with the formation of a committee last July consisting of two former Supreme Court justices and an ad-hoc committee of MPs.

They examined more than 40,000 documents to determine which documents could be released without endangering national security.

Perfect conservative on human rights issues: who cares. This is the Canada made by Harper.

Granted, the commenter's tag is "swamprat"..
