The first 100 days of Rob Ford have been enough to make the head spin. Transit City: killed by the mayor on his very first day. The car-registration tax: dead and gone. Taxes: Frozen for a year. The 2011 budget: rushed through at an unheard-of pace, leaving all the tough decisions for next year.
Mr. Ford has shown himself to be an impatient, often high-handed leader who has little time for opposition or complaint. That is the Ford approach: deliver a command, ignore the objections and wait for everyone to fall into line. If they don’t, well, off with their heads!
