The fate of the Hockey Night in Canada theme hasn't been settled quite yet. The CBC announced on Monday morning that it has invited sports lawyer Gord Kirke to act as an intermediary in a last-ditch attempt to keep the iconic song as part of their hockey broadcast.
"We feel this song is worth one last attempt to save," said Scott Moore, executive director of CBC Sports, in a press release. "Canadians are passionate about its association with Hockey Night in Canada."
