Ok not really.
But the world can now rest easy in the knowledge that Toronto affluent will now be able to "walk the walk on Bloor St."
By the time the dust settles, in 2009 or '10, the sidewalks of Bloor will be paved in granite.
I do hope it wont be too hard on my Pradas. But what about all the not so affluent of Toronto? Worry not, because Councillor Kyle Rae says:
Though the money [only $20 million, so quit whining] will be spent on one street, the whole city will benefit. [this feat of magic is thus explained] Bloor, after all, is Toronto's most elegant shopping district, and a cultural hub, which means it belongs to everyone.
It will belong to everyone until the first street kid arrives.
