They will use any excuse, as their ultimate goal is defunding.
And as the Ford Nation is um, not gay friendly and obsessed with money, they're in the bag.
They've weathered the storm over Ford's Pride snub, basking in the warm glow of Toronto's Homophobic community. They've never had it so good. They've waited years for a champion, someone who will officially treat gays with the contempt they've always wanted to, but couldn't...until now.
If it causes others pain and discomfort, tough. In the end, a little kick here and there to the fags makes them feel better, which is all that matters to them in the long run.
