A US Marine has blasted Aussie womens' dress standards after a night out in Darwin, telling them to 'dress in a manner that leaves something to the imagination'.
In an extraordinary letter to the editor of the Northern Territory News, Capt John Campbell said Darwin's women wore too little to attract "nice men" after he spent a night out on Mitchell St.
It's about having standards, ladies," he wrote.
"What are standards? Well, it can begin by dressing in a manner that leaves something to the imagination, to say the least."
Australia, to its lasting credit, has told him to STFU.
