Toronto's slogan winner as lame as the city

After months of Torontonians slaving away to come up with something witty and clever to describe the city, Torontoist has announced the winners in their independent slogan competition. A drum roll, please…

The winner is: Fall in XO with TO, with 34%.

“It’s fresh, simple and memorable. I can picture this easily in ads and on souvenirs,” said one judge.

“Sure, it’s a riff on the ‘I [heart] NY’ campaign, but it’s catchy, clever, and typographically pleasing. I’d buy the T-shirt,” said another.


That's Toronto in a nutshell, so wanting to be respected by real world class cities, all it can do is emulate...
