The Death of Star Trek

yawn

Do these people look bored to you?

Friends and I watched "Enterprise" on Friday night. I gave up on this show in its first season, but as there are only five more Star Trek broadcasts..ever..I want to see how they go out.

It started very well, if only because the dropped that God awful Rod Stewart clone song...and ended with a tease of a return to classic Trek, if only for a moment.

But then there was the other 50 minutes...Rick Burman and Brennan Bregga have boldly emblazoned their names across the opening credits, so I assume they are to blame for dull dialog, needless scenes and "Most Overuse of The Booth of Pain in a Science Fiction Show"™

And those Tholians...Oy

When the book of the demise of Star Trek comes to be written, the names of Burman and Bregga will loom large in the list of usual suspects.
