Toronto billboards under fire

There's a "debate" raging in Toronto about "illegal" billboards (some put the number at half of the ones up) and a tax on the industry to be given for "art" projects.

The industry is fighting back with new billboards trying to gain public sympathy with the manifestly untrue claim that is would be a tax on everyone...

"Any new tax affects you"..."Yet another tax we can't afford"

Now billboards proclaiming untruths are rare I know (ahem) but this brings the meaning of "bullshit" to a whole new level.

Now there are some who enjoy billboards, such as The Toronto National Post's resident idiot Marcus Billboards give colour and life to the place Gee (The man actually likes Dundas Square ). But his opinion luckily counts for nothing.

The danger comes from Toronto City Council member Norm Kelly, who if not sleeping with the billboard industry, has at least a full sized picture of them over his bed to keep him warm at night (no doubt electronic and flashing until 1:00 AM).

Read his frightening proposals here.
