Tocondo gives condo dwellers a free ride

[Toronto] City Council passed a regulation yesterday that will require condominiums to provide a year of free TTC rides to anyone who buys a new unit in the central city.

It's meant to encourage condo dwellers to give up cars. Combined with a move to require fewer parking spots in downtown condos, "it's going to be a huge incentive" to convert to transit, said Councillor Howard Moscoe, who proposed the idea.

What a fantasy. Condo dwellers will take the freebee and drive anyway. This is condo dwellers we're talking about after all.

Will I, who also doesn't drive a car in the downtown, be given a free subway pass? Of course not, as I don't live in a condo.
