AT&T doesn't like the idea of new regulations mandating unfettered access to the Internet, and recent comments from the Obama administration that connected the issue to censorship in China have really gotten under its skin
Weren't they helping Bush illegally spy on Americans? Me thinks the lady doth protest too much.
The cable companies so want to regulate the Internet. Look what happened to television. Long ago it was free to view, supported by ad revenues. Once it got onto cable, the consumer had to pay for access. Did the ads go away? Hell no. Guess who got rich.
Now they want the same for the Net.
