Giving the other side in the Tibet "debate", we present this little gem. Note the calm rational tone throughout.

conquered, maybe. But that was 1000 years ago. British conquered New Zealand, Canada.Japan conquered Ryukyu at 1609 and changed the name to Okinawa at 1872. Well, can you say Okinawa is not a part of Japan? Besides, was the fedral goverment treated Quebec nice at 1970? Are u a student of history? U should read more.

Read more? You should begin by reading the definition of "satire" and "irony". It will help you interaction with adult readers and writers.

So what you seem to be saying is than no national people may ever declare independence from a ruling state, because they were once conquered?

That sir, is nonsense.

Agreed, Quebec was not treated nice in 1970, but Trudeau did not gun the citizens down in the streets.

Again, even the tone of your response Anonymous, illustrates to me we are not dealing with rational nice people here but gun toting thugs.

Remember, Canada would give Quebec independence, democratically. Would China do the same for Tibet? Has anyone asked them?

Wow,shooting in Tibet. Where did you get this news, CNN? That liar? I read the news from CNN,which made me laugh. From some pictures, the soldier draged people on the street even wasn't took in China. Cause those people were not Chinese. Did you know CNN only provided partial pics they took? There is a funny story. CNN was saying a special potamic tide was the Tsunami, and Hongkong media was making fun of CNN.
Trudeau didn't gun the citizens down? I heard different story.
Besides. Are you saying if Tibetan killing Hans ,Muslim and soldiers, that's called democracy; if soldiers and Hans fight back, that's called crackdown and abusing the democracy? (Hundreds Hans and Muslims were killed)If you say so, well China may abusing the democracy. Although most Chinese soldiers have no bullet in their guns. Police in Tibet are tibetan.
I went to tibet. The normal Tibetan weren't really care the independence. Who cares? The former slave owners.

all my life I have always tried to be kind to people. One kind of people I always feel like strangling are those who are self-righteous and arrogant at the same time. You, Protogenes, make my blood boil. I do feel like strangling you. Move along, you. Tibet is Chinese business, and none of yours.
