It's the Saxons! Hide the drapes!

I enjoyed Francis Pryor's "Britain BC", with its attempt to reconstruct vast areas of British prehistory.

So I began the "sequel" Britain AD eagerly.

As the pages went by, I was willing to accept a new idea proposed here, an ancient author ignored there...

But by the end, the Saxon Invasions were just a fashion trend? Oh honey, we just love what you're doing in Germany this year, be a dear and send over a boatload of those yummy Angles.

The book has a Chariot of the Gods "what if this, then that" reasoning. Sheesh, what do you think your readers are, American?
