It's good news for those who have the need for speed: The 1986 hit, "Top Gun" will be converted to 3D and rereleased in theaters.
A four-minute clip of the updated film - the 'Danger Zone' aerial scene - premiered at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam on Monday.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Top Gun" is slotted for 3D release in early 2012, pending Tony Scott's approval.
