Paris' World, Class Privilege, and the Political Moment

Like many of you, I come to DKos to get away from Paris Hilton and all the other tabloid obsessions of the MSM. However, the number of recent threads alluding to Miss Hilton led me to question the presumption of her political irrelevance—and after some thought, it came to me that her recent travails just might be the harbinger of a significant shift in the public zeitgeist. (Bear with me now....)

I agree with much of what he has to say, but I also lay a large portion of the blame at the feet of her extremely dim witted "fans" to take anything this woman does seriously.
Most frightening quote by a "fan" recently, in a blog's comments:
Well I for one feel sorry for Paris. I happen to love her. She's young, rich, gorgeous, famous, blonde, dumb as a fetus, and LOVES to party!
