The flag is a ridiculous idea, and so are Mr. Mamoliti's rationales:
“What better way to celebrate our country, and our ethnicities within this country,” the Ward 7 councillor said. “We wanted to make it as large as we can to be a significant monument to celebrate immigration.”
Ok, sure, what else?
“It waves so slowly, you want to cry about how proud we are to be Canadian,” he said.
I want to cry, but for another reason entirely.
