President Obama insisted that the assault force hunting down Osama bin Laden last week be large enough to fight its way out of Pakistan if confronted by hostile local police officers and troops, senior administration and military officials said Monday.

Pentagon releases Osama video, begs, pleads with us to remix them
Come on everybody, join in the propaganda.
In life, Osama bin Laden carefully crafted his image as a pious, anti-American leader. In death, he surely wouldn't appreciate the U.S. government releasing his blooper reel.
As part of what a senior U.S. intelligence official called "the greatest intelligence success, perhaps, of a generation," the government has released five videos captured during Sunday's dramatic storming of Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan. None of them display his execution. All have had the sound excised so as not to spread al-Qaida propaganda.

Violent clashes broke out around the world today as thousands of supporters of Osama bin Laden took to the streets to protest at the Al-Qaeda leader's death.
While many protests took place across the Muslim world, the most extraordinary took place in London, where hundreds of supporters gathered at the U.S. embassy to stage a mock 'funeral service' for the slain terror leader.

NDP Deputy Leader Thomas Mulcair thinks his opinion on Bin Laden photos is relevant
FYI, it isn't.
The deputy leader of Canada's new Official Opposition party says he doubts the U.S. has photos of Osama bin Laden's body.
Thomas Mulcair, who stands in for NDP Leader Jack Layton in the House of Commons when he is away, told CBC's Power & Politics with Evan Solomon that he doesn't believe photos exist of bin Laden following his killing by U.S. forces on Sunday in Pakistan.
"I don't think, from what I've heard, that those pictures exist and if they do I'll leave that up to the American military," he told host Evan Solomon.
"If they've got pictures of a cadaver then there's probably more going on than we suspect in what happened there," Mulcair said.

Pakistan to world: Ignore the man behind the curtain
Pakistan sure did...
Pakistan's prime minister says spy agencies worldwide share the blame for his country's failure to capture Osama Bin Laden, who was killed by US forces.
"We have intelligence failure of the rest of the world including the United States," PM Yousuf Raza Gilani said.
Pakistan has been criticised for not locating Bin Laden, who was living near the country's main military academy.
The CIA head has said the US did not tell Islamabad of the raid in advance, for fear it would be jeopardised.

Could the successful U.S. operation that killed al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden lead to a reassessment of the Bush administration’s national security apparatus, much of which has been the focus of political controversy?
Some former Bush administration officials are arguing for that in light of the U.S. operation that killed bin Laden. U.S. officials say some of the initial strands of intelligence that eventually led to Sunday’s military operation came from terror detainees captured after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, including some held at the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Younger Generation. News of Osama bin Laden’s death seemed to have struck a chord with younger folks who grew up during the war on terrorism.
- On Yahoo!, 1 in 3 searches for “how did osama bin laden die” on Sunday were from teens ages 13-17.
- According to Yahoo!, 40% of searches on Sunday for “who killed osama bin laden” were from people ages 13-20.
- However, it seems teens ages 13-17 were seeking more information as they made up 66% of searches for “who is osama bin laden?”
