FOX News defends serial adulterer Newt Gingrich:
Newt Gingrich's three marriages mean he might make a strong president -- really
Best bullshit:
Two women—Mr. Gingrich’s first two wives—have sat down with him while he delivered to them incredibly painful truths: that he no longer loved them as he did before, that he had fallen in love with other women and that he needed to follow his heart, despite the great price he would pay financially and the risk he would be taking with his reputation.
Conclusion: I can only hope Mr. Gingrich will be as direct and unsparing with the Congress, the American people and our allies. If this nation must now move with conviction in the direction of its heart, Newt Gingrich is obviously no stranger to that journey.
Guess to FOX, being an adulterer is admirable. At least he's not a Mormon....

Megyn Kelly is an idiot, essentially
Megyn Kelly gave an interview to TVNewser who asked her about her comments which have caused such a stir on Bill O'Reilly's show that the pepper spray used on the UC Davis protesters is "a food product, essentially." Kelly's explanation for the comment boils down to claiming she was taken out of context and that if anyone watches the full clip, they won't believe she was trying to diminish what happened to the students.
Essentially, to me at least, she said the spray was shocking, but legal, so what's the problem?

Fox edits out joke from Emmys implying they are f*cking criminals
The commercials for the Emmy Awards this year promised “unexpected” moments.
Here’s one: on Sunday afternoon Fox confirmed a report by the Web site Deadline Hollywood that the network had spiked a planned joke involving allegations of misconduct by its parent company, the News Corporation, from the awards telecast.
Alec Baldwin, a star of the NBC comedy “30 Rock,” had taped an opening skit for the show days in advance, and in it he had referenced the phone hacking scandal that has embroiled the News Corporation in Britain. When Fox decided to edit out the reference over the weekend, Mr. Baldwin asked that his appearance be cut altogether because he felt the edit might affect the flow of the entire segment. In a Twitter message on Thursday, Mr. Baldwin suggested that Fox had erred in its edit. He later wrote: “I think it would have made them look better. A little.”

Fox News should be very very worried
The U.S. Justice Department is preparing subpoenas as part of preliminary investigations into News Corp. relating to alleged foreign bribery and alleged hacking of voicemail of Sept. 11 victims, according to a government official.
If it turns up just a hint they hacked 911 victims phones, Fox News is toast.
It will be a delight to watch conservatives defend it. It will probably turn out the 911 victims were actually secret Muslim homosexuals and deserved it.

The scandal-hit British tabloid News of the World will shut down after Sunday's issue, its owner, News International, told CNN Thursday.
All revenue for Sunday's final edition of the scandal-hit tabloid the News of the World will go to good causes, News Corp. executive James Murdoch said Thursday in announcing the closure of the 168-year-old newspaper.
Journalists at News of the World, a tabloid that is the world's top-selling English-language newspaper, have been accused of hacking into the mobile phone account of missing British teenager Milly Dowler, intercepting messages in search of news.
They then allegedly deleted messages to keep her mailbox from filling up, giving her family and friends false hope that the schoolgirl - later found murdered - was still alive.

FOX News: We're funding the Ground Zero Mosque? Damn! Damn! Damn!
Jon Stewart continued his coverage of the 'Ground Zero Mosque' debate last night, focusing on Fox News' incongruities harder than he ever has. In a segment called "The Parent Company Trap," Stewart shared with his viewers how Fox News' plan to "follow the money" from mosque builder Imam Rauf to terrorists will be a tricky one because it leads right back to Fox News.
Stewart showed clips from his show last week, in which he mocked Fox News for playing a dangerous game of association based on speculation, and wherein Fox continued to mention a nameless man with ties to Imam Rauf through the "Kingdom Foundation." It turns out the man they are referring to but never name is Saudi prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, one of the biggest shareholders of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp.
