Oh sorry, I'll point it down

Our hotel in London is located on Grosvenor Square. A very nice park is across the street, a pleasant place to sit.

On one side of the park is the American embassy, and the security presence is obvious (as it is across London, with CCTV camera and friendly reminder signs everywhere).

So the park is patrolled by police here and there, as it was this morning. Two were strolling by me, and at first I took no notice..until they got closer. One of them was carrying a 3 foot automatic weapon, and as they passed it was pointed at me. I made a funny face, and he pointed it to the ground.

Guess I'm not a security threat...
